WHO DO YOU CONSIDER AS THE AUTHOR OF A MOVIE?

Several schools of thought have variously credited the authorship of a film to a number of personnel. Some say the editor should be the author. Some opine that for his worth in the production, the cinematographer, and not the editor, should be the author. Some critics insist that it must be the screen writer because he crafts the screenplay. 

Hey, wait a moment! Some even argue that it has to be the producer; some, the director. Yes, they do have their reasons! 

So, who do you consider as the author? Why?
